Medication Carts

Medication trolleys are intended for the transport and storage of medicines. Two things are important here. The first is optimum distribution of the medication. We achieve this by mapping out the process of medicine distribution and dispensing, and adjusting the layout of the medication trays accordingly. The second is a good locking system. After all, not everyone should be allowed free access to all kinds of drugs. This is prevented by a rolling shutter that can only be opened with a code or a card (and in emergencies with a key).

In practice, medicine trolleys are mainly used for transport from (hospital) pharmacy to department or for decentralized medicine storage. For the dispensing of medicines (the so-called medication round), it is more common to rely on COWs with medication bins.
