Diagnostics at a new level and without distortion

Thanks to a bezel just 7.5 mm wide - the world's narrowest bezel width on 5 megapixel monitors - the distance between the display areas of both monitors is just 15 mm. In addition, the panel's bezel protrudes only 2.5 mm from the monitor, ensuring a close fit. Thus, the gaze exchange between the monitors is not disturbed.

Space-saving placement

The RX560-MD is extremely space-saving. Compared to conventional, side-by-side setups of individual monitors with this resolution, 67 mm is saved in the horizontal direction, 36 mm in the vertical direction and 20.5 mm in the depth direction. For early detection of breast cancer, mammography is increasingly combined with ultrasound examinations, especially in patients with high breast density. In addition, when breast cancer is suspected, other processes are used, such as biopsy, MRI breast scans and computed tomography.

The RadiForce RX560 is the world's first medical monitor to use an LCD based on LTPS (Low Temperature Polysilicon). Thus, the color monitor achieves a brightness of up to 1100 cd/m², which is comparable to that of a monochrome monitor. As a result, the RX560 can display both higher solute images of breast tomosynthesis and mammography with deep, non-flattened black tones, as well as color images based on ultrasound and pathology examinations.

Thanks to a high contrast ratio of 1500:1, which is close to that of a monochrome monitor, deep black tones are also displayed. Without fading effect.

Diagnose monochrome and color images with just one monitor

The Hybrid Gamma PXL function distinguishes between monochrome and color images. Automatic. Pixel by pixel. This creates a hybrid display on which each pixel is displayed with the optimal tone value. Thus, higher precision and reliability are achieved than with traditional, planar detection methods.

The RX560-MD reproduces demanding monochrome images from tomography or mammography as reliably as color images from MRI or CT scans, ultrasound and pathology. In practice, this means a clear efficiency gain, since recordings from various imaging processes can be viewed with just one monitor.

Trouble-free multi-screen solution

Via the signal input and output, you can connect multiple RadiForce monitors with the DisplayPort interface. This allows you to realize multi-screen solutions very easily, without a tangle of cables.

Reduction of blurriness

LCD panels with high brightness often render images blurrier than the original due to overexposure. EIZO therefore offers a blur reduction function integrated into the monitor. This function ensures that the details that have disappeared in the blurred edges are displayed again in maximum brightness on the monitor.

Sharp and high resolution images

The monitor has a pixel width of 0.165 mm and therefore displays even, high-resolution and deep black images. Without any kind of graininess.

Stable image quality thanks to DIN conformity

The display properties, in particular brightness and contrast, are suitable for setting up DIN 6868-157-compliant image display systems. The DICOM®-GSDF curve is already precisely set at the factory. This means that the gray values are consistent, which is indispensable for diagnosis.

The monitor contains the FDA-510(k) clearance for breast tomosynthesis, mammography and general radiography.

Consistent image quality thanks to integrated front sensor

Accurate calibration of white point and tonality curve is guaranteed thanks to a front sensor (IFS) integrated into the frame. It measures brightness and gray scales and independently calibrates the monitor according to the DICOM® standard. The sensor works automatically without restricting the monitor's field of vision. You spend less time on maintenance and can rely on consistently high image quality.

One billion color shades thanks to 13-bit LUT

Color reproduction is controlled via a 13-bit Look-Up Table (LUT). With a DisplayPort connection, up to 10 bits of this can be displayed. This results in a resolution of up to 1 billion color shades, which ensures flawless color reproduction of MRI, ultrasound and pathology images. The display characteristics and fine structures required for diagnosis can thus be precisely detected.

Constant brightness during operation

A sensor for the backlight continuously determines the luminance of the monitor. The advantage: The set and calibrated values are already displayed accurately a few seconds after switching on and remain constant throughout the entire operating period. The sensor is invisibly integrated into the monitor.

Even illumination on the entire screen

The monitor impresses with its even illumination. This is ensured by the Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE), which automatically corrects irregularities pixel by pixel. Shades of gray from radiological and other medical images are reproduced correctly on the entire screen. This is indispensable for diagnosis.

Selecting the optimal display mode for different modalities

The CAL Switch function allows you to choose between numerous display modes for different modalities, such as mammography and MRI breast scans, ultrasound or pathological examinations. Without having to recalibrate every time.

With the included RadiCS LE software, modes can be set so that optimal observation conditions are automatically activated. Either with a mouse click or via the monitor's display mode.

Presence sensor: Saving energy when absent

A presence sensor saves energy and protects the environment. The sensor detects whether someone is sitting at the screen or not. As soon as the person leaves the workplace, the monitor switches off. When the person returns, it switches back on - fully automatically, without the need to touch the mouse or keyboard. The monitor is always ready for use, with no waiting time.

Consistent assurance of image quality

The optional EIZO RadiCS image quality assurance software enables comprehensive maintenance and examination of monitors. This software covers all steps, from calibration through transmission and radiation testing to archiving. If you work with multiple monitors, we recommend the use of the RadiNET Pro software. This software controls the calibration of all monitors including data history centrally. This will save you a lot of time and you will have a uniform high image quality for the whole system. RadiForce GX, RX and MX/MS come with the basic version RadiCS LE as standard.
